We’ve got a lot of time on our hands, so I thought I’d share a few of my favourite non-fiction books!
Something to make you giggle: Adam Kay’s ‘This is Going to Hurt’ and ‘’Twas the Night Shift Before Christmas’. I found these so funny; I will never understand why some people do things – mars bar wrappers...?!? Honestly hilarious – it will cheer you up to no end!
Something geeky, but also really cool: David Attenborough’s ‘Life of Mammals’. This might just be because I love biology but this book is fascinating – did you know sea otters put their paws over their eyes when they go to sleep? How cute!
Something eye-opening: Oliver Sacks’ ‘The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat’. I loved this book. It’s a compliation of stories about patients with neurological disorders told in a super interesting way. I particularly liked the story about ‘the man who fell out of bed’ – brains are crazy organs!
Hope you’re holding up. If you’re finding things hard at the moment and need a laugh: I was reading a book on the way home from school last week and walked straight into someone’s bin – oops! Don’t worry though, the bin is ok!
