I WAS IN THE JUNIOR YEAR, I ONLY KNEW ONE THING, THAT I HAVE TO GO TO DELHI UNIVERSITY, I DIDN’T EXACTLY KNOW THE REASON, BUT YEAH IT SEEMED SOMETHING WHICH WOULD BE FUN.
If I try to remember when was the idea of being a student at Delhi University (commonly referred to as DU) was rooted in my mind, I can’t seem to recall. Not long ago, when this dream came true in August of 2019, I was overjoyed. Even though I could only thoroughly spend a semester in my college life, I realized what the hype was all about. Even though getting into DU requires one to have a perfect score in 12 grade, it still manages to witness a diverse set of students from all over India.
I am a firm believer that we all have to unlearn to learn, University became that platform for me. When each day I learned one thing or the other, it opened up new horizons that I never knew existed. DTC buses and metro routes became more familiar, learning theatres and seminar rooms now seemed more comfortable, going to the canteen became a routine and making innumerable memories with friends became a way of living.
Being a university student, made me realize there is more to life than we can ever imagine, and uncertainty is also an essential part of it. I am optimistic about what the future has in store for us, even though right now it seems blurry. I am sure we all will get through this together and return stronger than ever.
